Sandy is a trusted advisor to leaders, policymakers, and governments across Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa. A senior development practitioner and former Country Director at the National Democratic Institute (NDI), she brings over 23 years of hands-on experience in governance reform, democratic strengthening, and institutional development.

Born in New York City and raised in Miami, Sandy founded Global Strategic Solutions, LLC in 2025 to provide personalized, high-level support to leaders—connecting people, ideas, and institutions to achieve transformative results.

Across Angola, Colombia, Ecuador, Malawi, and Tanzania, she has led high-level initiatives that advance democratic reform through locally grounded strategies, collaborative policymaking, civic advocacy, and regional leadership development. A relentless advocate for inclusive governance and women’s empowerment, Sandy works across languages and cultures to achieve shared goals.
